About us
Austin Reel Bass Club (ARBC) was founded to provide fellowship, friendly competition, and to bring more people into the sport we love.  We’ll catch the big fish, but also tell you how and where (like somewhere in the lake 🙂 ) we did it.   You may win some money, but because our entry fees are a low $20 an angler it won’t buy you a new boat.   But it will cover your tackle for next weekend.    Those low fees also allow many of our club members to be active in other tournament trails where high dollar payouts take priority. Ranger, Bass Cat, Nitro, Seaark, Triton or Tracker…our members have boats of every make, color and vintage, though half of us don’t have one at all.   Like you, we just enjoy fishing.   If you are interested in a Christian inspired bass club where members decide what lakes to fish, ARBC may be right for you.

General Information
Our tournament’s are on the first Saturday of every month and club meetings are once a month on the Monday following a tournament except where a holiday is close by at 6:30 at Round Rock Orthotics or by Zoom meetings to get good club participation.  Consult our club calendar for exact meeting dates by clicking here.   We fish local Central Texas lakes 10 time a year including Lake Austin, Belton, LBJ, Travis, Fayette, Buchanan, Stillhouse and more. Twice a year we’ll have a two day travel tournament which has included Amistad, Falcon, Choke, O.H. Ivie and more.  Lakes are voted in by members attending club meetings each month in an effort to fish the lakes that are fishing the best.   We award for Top 8, Angler of the Year, and Back of Boater of the Year, Largest fish caught during year, and lastly Sportsman of the Year at our annual awards banquet.

Becoming a Member
Most members began as guests, invited through other members or they simply contacted one of our Club Officers (see Contact Us page) and asked to try us out by joining an upcoming tournament.    After a couple of tournaments, if you like what you see let’s discuss becoming an active member.    Current members vote new members in, and dues average about $12 a year, which is prorated if you join mid-season.
